Untitled (Things keep change and stay the same)

I made a cake and made wishes repeatedly for random durations, depending on my secret wishes. After blowing out the candles each time, I would scrape off the cream and reapply it onto the cake base with a knife until the cream completely blended into/disappeared within the cake base. While filming with a fixed camera, I tried to remain as still as in a picture, except when spreading the cream and when the candlelight flickered. The video lasts nearly an hour and is placed in a corner of the space. It's a repetitive, boring endurance test and unnticed subtle changes, as well as secretly, silent wish-making.
The used candles of varying lengths are placed aside.
A single unlit candle is left for the viewer.
