I’ve shoped the goods from Asian supermarket Fuqing, to created acrostic characters that fulfilled the words needs for a quotation*(Mary Walling Blackburn, 2011). Place the finished work on the street shelves, between various vegetables and fruits.
Fuqing located on Deptford High Street, is a multiethnic neigborhood with a diverse range of shops and unique community cultures. In light of the pandemic, we transfored the Goldsmiths MFA Open Studio into a series of exhibitions, Access+ (2021), that exhbitied within local small busnesses or on streets. While resisting the whitecube space, we also hope to stengthen connections with our local communities. A moment that need more mutual communications and solidarity.
